Happy Spaces Make For Happy Faces

We’re improving our parks.

If the Discovery Development Team had one of those affirming quote plaques, it would read:‘Challenges are what make life interesting. Overcoming them is what makes it meaningful.’ Thankfully, they are a little humbler than that – however they never cease to amaze with the amount of projects they can accomplish successfully in very tight timeframes. And these last few months leading up to summer is no exception. Discovery Parks are dedicated to constantly improving our parks to make your stay a comfortable and memorable one. Below are some highlights to look forward to in some of your favourite destinations in time for summer.

Splashtastic family fun for the Barossa Valley

With a 500sqm footprint, this will be one of the biggest waterparks in an Australian holiday park. Boasting 3 slides, huge tipping bucket and more spray zones than we can count, this waterpark will help propel the Barossa Valley region into an affordable (and splashtacular) destination for families. The waterpark will feature a zero depth splash pad to greatly reduce water evaporation, with water cycled back into a balance tank where it is treated and reused ensuring maximum efficiency of resources. Production has already begun and we can’t wait for that first bucket tip in time for summer! Check out a time lapse of the build so far here: http://bit.ly/2e4k4zN

Predicted Completion: By the time the guy in the red suit arrives.

Dubbo Parklands just keeps getting better

Featuring a super splashy waterpark, a custom built BMX track and only a hop, skip and a jump from the famous Taronga Western Plains zoo – how could we make our park in Dubbo better? We have brand new cabin and glamping options for your next Orana adventure. We have four Superior 2 bedroom Cabins perfect for families with a superbly designed kitchen and dining area that opens onto the verandah for easy alfresco dining. We are also building 6 Safari Tents that will raise the stakes in luxury glamping.

Predicted Completion: Late November

Emerald Beach – a hidden gem

You know how when a surfer stumbles across that endless break that no one knows about and won’t give it up to save his Grandmother? – that sums up Emerald Beach as a holiday destination. The park is located on a pristine beachfront where you can have a dip with the local kangaroos and not many others. It already boasts a state-of-the-art waterpark and some stunning accommodation options set in a breathtaking subtropical gardens. Come late November, the park will have added four Deluxe 2 Bedroom Cabins and six Superior 2 Bedroom Cabins – but ssshhh, keep it a secret!

Predicted Completion: Early December

Did someone say Byron Bay – family holiday?

Once a destination for the super-rich, the super-single and even the super un-washed, Discovery Parks – Byron Bay is looking to change the game. With recent developments including a Cape Byron themed waterpark, lagoon pool, magnificently appointed Deluxe Cabins and Safari Tents, Byron Bay is set to become the next family friendly location to holiday. With six more Deluxe 2 Bedroom Cabins and six more Safari Tents, this summer is shaping up to be a big one.

Predicted Completion: Early December

Life’s a beach at Adelaide Beachfront

Tucked in behind the Semaphore dunes, Discovery Parks – Adelaide Beachfront are dropping in five Superior 2 Bedroom Cabins just in time for a summer beach escape. Well-appointed and plenty of room for the whole family, these Superior Cabins will be a great addition to this already ‘neat as pin’ park.

Predicted Completion: Early December

We have a few more projects due before Christmas, including new ensuite sites, cabin refurbishments and upgrades to shared park facilities - but we didn’t want this list to go to the Development Teams head. In essence, we love what we do and we love making great spaces for your next holiday. We look forward to seeing your happy faces enjoying our new and well known facilities at one of our parks this summer.
