Accommodation To Suit All Travellers

9 Feb 2016

With so many accommodation types at Discovery Parks, the only hard part is deciding who to take on my next holiday. With choices ranging from a camp site through to a lodge that sleeps 12 and a safari tent for the luxury campers, I could be covered for a romantic getaway with my partner, a group get together with my girlfriends or a solo trip in a studio cabin.

Couples Retreat

A romantic camping getaway allows my partner and I to spend quality time together without the technology devices (and the kids) distracting us. We take the basics like music, a picnic blanket and food but besides that all we need is each other, a tent and there we have it – a weekend-long picnic.

Keeping our kids entertained on holidays is like having another full time job, not to mention the hole that gets burnt in my wallet each time we go away. Discovery Parks have become our new ‘go to place’ with all the fun onsite – swimming pools, jumping pillows, kids clubs, open spaces, bike tracks and much more.

Group get togethers

My son stayed at Discovery Parks - Dubbo for school. It was perfect for the group with dormitory rooms (10-12 bunk beds) as well as Twin Rooms for Supervisors, with ensuites. They also take bookings for sporting and social groups of 30-130 people.

My husband loves to spend time with his mates. They’re the type that like their space and getting outdoors, so hotels just don’t cut it. A whole lot of cabins are great to all be together and have the facilities on site.

I found the accommodation great for our family reunion as well. We were all in the same place at the same time (and still had plenty of room to move). We stayed at the holiday house in Ballina (sleeps 12) and can’t wait to do it again.

Solo Travellers and Backpackers

Being a Mum, I don’t get much time to myself so once a year I pack my bags and have some well-deserved ‘me time’. I look forward to it every year – relax with a book, swim in the pool and if I’m feeling up to it, meet other holiday makers and share stories. I’m a bit too lazy to bring my own tent and set up camp, so instead I opt for a bit of luxury. For those that are happy to pitch their own tent, the ensuite sites in Victoria are a good option.

First Timers

If this is all too overwhelming and you’re finding it hard to come to terms with not having a hair straightener or a big screen TV, try out our Safari Tents. You’ll be pleasantly surprised how easy it can be to enjoy yourself.
